Being Young
They say that home
Is the only place to go
When you’re alone
Then they say if you’re together
It shouldn’t matter
But what if my home
Was just a place with family
And I’ve got no one to hold?
I’m still young, I don’t got a place
I can call my own
They don’t understand no more
What it’s like to be young
To be told its all hormones
They don’t remember no more
What it’s like to be left out
‘Caus now they’re old, but free
Deep down, they’re happy
Yeah, it’s tough
Being young
It’s hard, having to depend
On the fragile things
We branch out
Come back crying
